| I took the PCATs this past saturday and I think I won't get in pharm school. As of now I still didn't get a job in a pharmacy, and apparently the experience and exposure is really important. My GPA is kinda low, not terrible, but I have to be more than a 3.25. I'm glad that my GPA was raised last semester, but I don't think that's enough. If I apply now I guarentee you that I won't even make the first cut, that I won't be even given an interview, because of my GPA, probably my PCAT scores, and no job in pharmacy. I'm not gonna waste my money on an application to a school that I know I'll get rejected. I think it's a big possibility that I'll apply for pharm school next year, when hopefully I'll have some exposure to pharmacy, and have my GPA better than now. Welcome week is this week, and may see the girlies at Temple. I may see a movie with my mom this week as well before I go back to school. Gah I hate life sometimes. My Hata order is already here for a couple of weeks. It's region-all, yay!! I can't wait to get his live DVD next month. And it'll probably take longer to get here because intead of EMS, I'm using Air Mail (mom gave me a lesson on what's really important unknowingly, especially mail, so I felt guilty and I changed my shipping method). At least instead of 1500 yen for shipping, I'm now paying 750 yen. We'll see what happens. I don't think the packaging will change. It's just how long before I get it. At least I won't worry about signatures and stuff. I've been looking back at my posts, and realized still no word if Hata's becoming a father. So I guess he's telling the truth. Haha. | | |
| Been a bit lacking on studying for the PCATs coming up in August. But so far the review isn't terrible. I just hate reviewing stuff. Need to brush up on math (I hate math), bio (there are topics that aren't covered in my lectures at all), and chem (not terrible but hate reviewing again). The reading, I have to look over, and the writing, it shouldn't be so bad. People told me when they took the practice exam it wasn't so bad. One of my peer counselors back in Freshman orientation said that the PCATs were pretty easy (he got in pharm school), and the most difficult subject for him is orgo (damn right... gah). Please pray that I'll be okay, or else I have to take the exam again in October. Gah. Unlike when I studied for the SATs, I actually did look over the contents of the PCAT. Thank goodness that Physics isn't in there. And Calc 2 (I hate it with passion). My Hata order should be arriving in 2 weeks. I added "Synchro" to my "Halation" order because I like to see the CD-extra, which is pretty much interviews and stuff before his actual debut. Saw a tidbit on facebook. I don't have a freakin job in pharmacy. Damn. Goodbye pharm school. Damn you economy!!! | | |
| So Hata's new single will be called "Halation," and his live DVD will be called just "Live in Budokan." According to dictionary.com, the definition of "halation" is: - a blurred effect around the edges of highlight areas in a photographic image caused by reflection and scattering of light through the emulsion from the back surface of the film support or plate. Since when did Hata know that much English?? I had to look up the definition | | |
| The summer is kinda boring. I need to get my ass to a bookstore to buy a study book for the PCATs. By the way, I need to pay the $150 registration fee by July 12th for the August 22nd PCATs. Why is it so damn expensive??? Tomorrow, I hope that I can find a job in a pharmacy. Planning to go visit Rite Aid. It's about time that I get a job (and not depend on Mom so much). I wanted to get a job last summer, but I had my dad's shit going on with the insurance money. I was actually thinking I was going to Taiwan, but it never happened. It's kinda my mom's fault. She told me to hold it out. Um... big mistake. That'll possibly cost me my admission to pharm school. Goda and Klea's graduation on the 17th!! Hopefully either of them will contact me for the ticket. I need a ride, too. Still need to shop with the girlies. Get my freakin ipod and the PCAT book... gah. Hata Motohiro's new single is going to be released on August 12th, and I already pre-ordered the limited edition with DVD. Since BMG merged with Sony, I hope that I'll still be able to see the DVD in region-all. A couple weeks before it's released I'll add Fukumimi's single "Dance Baby Dance" to the order. Budokan DVD will be out on September 16th!!! Yay!!! I'm gonna get first press of the DVD (hopefully CDjapan won't screw up my order... I ordered it practically minutes after I saw it available for pre-order). My order says I'm guarenteed first press (I think I'm getting a photobook and special packaging on the DVD). Gah August and September seem so far away. If I get a job, then the summer will go much faster than I thought. Gotta savor the moment. It's been a month since school is over. | | |
| So I did go to New York to do that business shit. I'm glad that it's been done. Most of the business is done, but one more thing needs to be done. Hopefully everything will be finally finished before I go look for a job. I plan to get an ipod (I know, it's about time). Thinking about getting an ipod classic. Also thinking about getting more Coach things. I desire to have a wallet, and either a Coach pouch or a Coach wristlet. I'm so torn between those two since my mom didn't want me to let loose with money (a good thing since I don't have a job. Gah). I'll decide later. Was thinking about getting Louis Vuitton but then I'm like fuck it. They'll always be there so I have no problem. Coach changes a lot so it's hard to keep up. My Celga package came on the day of my birthday and I got my Hata stuff. The DVD from "Asa ga kuru mae ni" is awesome!! I hope to see Hata one day in concert. The tour brochure is really good. Great pictures. It's a good thing that I got it because on his site, those tour goods will be erased from the tour goods site. All that will be left are tour goods from his Budokan concert, and his current Green Mind tour (debating to get a bag from the site. Eh maybe later). The magazine was good too; was expecting an interview of Hata but there never was. Funny that now I appreciate "Alright" more because of the article. I was slightly disappointed with that album initially because it's a tad too pop for my taste (I totally got over that phase in my life), except the songs "Bye-bye jaa ne" and "Yo ga Akeru" which I liked at first listen. "Bye-bye jaa ne" is the most addicting song off of "Alright". My rambles for the day. | | |
